Weekend Spread for June 3, 2016

June 3 2016 reading

Good morning all!

A reading to day for new beginnings! Perfect for graduation day!

In the top row we have the Fool, The Devil, and the Nine of Coins. The Fool is all about starting a new journey. It is the beginning of a new cycle. The Devil indicates that perhaps there is some fear attached to this, and that is perfectly natural. The Nine of Coins says however, “Enjoy! You’ve earned this!”

In the center row we see the Knight of Swords and the Seven of Cups. You have many choices now available to you and you feel a little overwhelmed by them all. It’s going to take some clear thinking to cut through that confusion and make a choice that is right for you. The Two of Coins is about balance. Keeping balance and keeping focused so you can walk that tightrope.

One last card, just for luck! It’s the Three of Coins… now it’s time to “Get to work!”

Blessings on this new path!

Weekend Spread April 1, 2016

Weekend Spread April 1 2016

Greetings everyone! It feels like it’s been a long time since posting. Life is always so busy! Well, it feels good to be back!

Today we have a reading for someone who just feels trapped in the wheel going round and round!

On the top row we have the Four of Wands, the Knight of Wands, The Eight of Swords and the Wheel. The Four of Wands is often about trying to break free from an oppressive situation, seeking freedom and cutting loose. As you can see from this card in the Legacy of the Divine Tarot, that things my look good from the outside but underneath things are maybe not so fine and dandy. See how the top is green and lush but under the ground it is dark and scary. The Knight of Wands represents fast movement either metaphorically or physically. There is a real feeling of needing to move away and get out. The Eight of Swords is about the feeling of entrapment. The thing is with this card is that with the blindfold, you might feel like you have no options, but really you do. Often entrapment is in your own mind and you need to remove the blindfold in order to think more clearly. The Wheel is about the ups and downs of life. This is a karmic situation and nothing ever remains static. Things are in the process of changing.

In the middle row we have the Queen of Pentacles, The King of Swords and the Nine of Cups. This couple seem to have it all in this Nine of Cups. With the Nine of Cups there is bounty but a feeling of not having anyone to share it with.

In the next row we have the Emperor and the Eight of Wands. The Emperor represents the establishment. Perhaps it is time for some mediation. The Eight of Wands is about communication and things happening quickly. Messages being sent and received.

On the bottom we have the Five of Swords. This is about discord with an “us vs them” mentality, power plays and acting in self-interest.  There is victory here, but at what cost? Think hard before taking action.

Blessings all,

Weekend Spread for January 29, 2016

Greetings everyone! Sorry the readings have become so sporadic! I have been very busy with my family and with my studies. I am currently enrolled in a Master Herbalist program. While I have been enjoying the learning, it has been a great deal of work!

This weekend is about seizing new opportunities and planting new seeds! The Page of Coins tells you to BE grounded, BE trustworthy, BE practical. If you embody these things will draw what you need towards you. Have faith, be dependable, and stick to your word.

The Seven of wands here is interesting. Often this card means “holding your ground”. It’s about taking a defensive position. Sometimes, however it is about being the expert who is the instructor. This is the feeling I get from this card in this spread. You are shining the light for others, you are showing the way.

The Ten of Cups is about completion of a cycle to it’s fullest potential. It is about hearth and home, security, legacy and prosperity. It is about the joy of family and being content. This is a time to count your blessings.

Beside the blessings and joys of home and hearth, we have the Lovers. I very much feel this weekend is all about staying home, snuggling in and enjoying your spouse and family. Going back again to examine that Seven of Wands and it’s other meaning, along with the Lovers, which usually indicates that a choice must be made, I’d say you really WANT to just stay home, maybe you feel you need to justify your need to relax? Just make the choice to DO it.

The Ace of Coins echo’s this in that it is about being grounded, having prosperity, stability and a firm foundation.

Enjoy your time with loved ones, close to hearth and home.

Weekend Spread for February 21, 2014

I shuffled! I swear! LOL!

The top row of today’s reading is almost exactly the same as yesterday only the cards are in different positions. Today I’m feeling like those dreams of yesterday are a little more confused and maybe not so clear. Like the Moon, we go through phases, and sometimes as we change and grow we look to the past and remember the good old days. This is a highly emotional time as indicated by the Ace of Cups.

We have seen The Moon, The Star and the Hanging Man appear frequently in the last little while, Hopes and Fears and Sacrifice seem to be the thread through many of these readings.

The Four of Wands is a card about accomplishment and celebration. In order to accomplish what we want, there are going to be some self-sacrifices involved. Unfortunately these sacrifices can result in a feeling of deprivation as indicated in the Five of Coins. Unfortunately sometimes we just can’t have it all.

Have a blessed weekend!

Daily Tarot for September 30,2013

It looks like it’s going to be one of those “blahhh” days.  Today we have the Four of Cups. Sometimes when things get  overwhelming we want to withdraw into ourselves and hide away from the world until  we can get re-centered again. We can’t be much use to others if we don’t take care of ourselves first, so taking time from the business of life to just reflect and process is good therapy, but we don’t want to spend too much time in that space because if we withdraw too far there is a danger that we become a self-absorbed shut in and we will miss out on the blessings that life presents all around us.

So take your break, maybe even feel a little sorry for yourself for a few minutes but remember, the saying goes: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”… not “When the going gets tough, the tough go have a little cry in the corner”!

If you feel yourself sliding down into that “mode” again, remember Bob Newhart’s advice from September 17’ths reading… just “STOP IT!”

Daily Tarot for September 19, 2013

Good morning all!

So Monday we were keeping everything steady in a delicate balance, Tuesday we were done with the whole situation, (thank goodness!) , yesterday we took a much needed a “time out”  so that we could string two thoughts together and today it’s “back to work” with the Three of Pentacles.

Pentacles represent home life, job security, and general material stability. When we combine this with the number three we are looking forward to a period of growth. The seeds of some project we planted are beginning to take off and there is work to be done as a result.  Perhaps someone is paying you for your expertise at a task. The three of pentacles is a card that is about having a job to do and having the right tools and the competence to get the job done.

Traditionally the Three of Pentacles is often depicted as three men passing pentacles back and forth to each other. Like stated above, this can indicate payment to an expert for services or depending on what is happening there may be a crack team of experts working together to achieve a common goal.

Regardless of team work, or you alone being the expert, it’s time to buckle down!

Daily Tarot for September 12, 2013

Daily Tarot for September 12, 2013

Today we have a very powerful card, one of the most powerful cards, in the Mythic Tarot, The Chariot. Traditionally the chariot is about victory through will power.  With strength and a strong will, mastery can be achieved whether this is mastery over your own emotions as in an internal struggle or victory over a competitor in the physical sense.

With the Mythic Tarot, we see the god of war Ares, as he rides his chariot into battle. He is reining in his horses, one black representing chaos and one white representing pure intellect. This card is about the struggle between opposites and having the strength to keep things in balance. As we know from mythology, Ares was constantly struggling to keep his aggressive nature under control and often got in trouble with the other gods when he didn’t.

If we again are looking at world events, the Chariot is a symbol of war. The spear represents the weapons of war, struggle and hostility. The black and white horses again representing that eternal struggle between opposing forces. The chariot can represent that need to fight for what is right, but we also don’t want to be like Ares and act without forethought, control or compassion. We need to maintain that very precarious balance that requires an enormous strength of will.

Whether on the personal level, or the global level, today will be a test of that will. Victory is possible with inner strength and balance.
