Weekend Spread for March 27, 2015

Wow! What a powerful spread we have today! So much energy and new projects and change!

In the top row we have the Page of Wands, The Magician, and the Hanging Man.  The Page of wands says : Be courageous! Be Confident! The Magician says: Take control of your life and your goals! You have the power to manifest what you want and make your life what you want it to be! The Hanging Man is the Fool in the middle of his heroic journey, he knows some sacrifices must be made but the Page of Coins in the Middle row is about having faith and proceeding with trust and it’s a pretty good bet that the money that is falling out of the Hanging Man’s pockets will come back with the Page of Coins! Whatever you put into this will certainly come back to you!

The Death Card just goes to show you what a huge transition this is right now. The old cycle is coming to an end and the new cycle is just beginning, and it is so appropriate to have the High Priestess at the bottom of the reading, right after the Death Card. She is Persephone, rising from the underworld, becoming the Queen she is meant to be.

Wow. Just, Wow. I am actually stunned at this reading. So much positive power!

If this reading is for you, you are ROCKIN it!

Blessings,

Miria

Weekend Spread for March 20, 2015

Greetings all, we have a short but very direct message today.

High Priest

In the top row we have The Sun, The Seven of Swords and the Page of Swords. It’s time to face the truth.  That is what this row is all about.  The Sun dispels all shadows and while this Seven of Swords in this deck tells you to be diplomatic about it, the darker side of the Seven of Swords lets me know that there has been some shady stuff going on. Someone may not have been honest, and this Page who is the epitome of honesty says it’s time to come clean.

The middle row shows us the Chariot and the Five of Wands. Once the truth is out there, it’s a battle of wills and a battle of words. The High Priest at the bottom says it’s time to seek counselling.

Blessings,

Miria

Weekend Spread for March 13, 2015

Greetings all! I hope you all had a good week!

We have a powerful reading today about initiation, rebirth and renewal. (Which is so appropriate for this time of the year!) This spread is for someone who has come through a whole process of transformation.

Knight-Wands

In the top row we see Initiation (Temperance in more traditional decks), The Two of Discs, and the Eight of Cups. The Initiation card is about making life transitions. This card is about moving from one state of being to another perhaps through marriage, divorce, birth of a child… these are all periods of initiation from one state of being to another. Spiritually, this card marks the passage from one state of consciousness to another. You have learned your lessons and now you make your way back out of the labyrinth and begin integrating what you have learned into your life. In the Two of Discs, we see that this integration is a work in progress, keeping things in balance and working in a state of fluctuation. This is a completely natural process until you finally come to the point where it is time to say goodbye to the old way of being (Eight of Cups: Abandonment) in order to come closer to your own authentic, spiritual self, which is reflected in the High Priestess. Sometimes in this growth process we have to not only shed what doesn’t work for us anymore, but it means physically leaving some things behind as well. Maybe this means leaving a job or a relationship which we no longer find fulfilling.

The Two of Swords represents exactly what the keyword on the top suggests. Making changes for yourself, so that you are living your authentic life, is often met by opposition from others. You may find that your significant other, or your friends and family are not supportive of your journey to authenticity, they want you to remain the same as you always were, usually because it means they can’t control or use you anymore. It’s to their benefit to maintain the status quo. The Knight of Wands on the bottom however indicates you have the courage and fortitude to stay the course and live your own life’s adventure! Bravo!

If you feel this reading has been for you, feel free to comment. I’d love to hear your story!

Blessings,

Miria

Weekend Spread for March 6, 2015

Greetings everyone! I hope you are all well!

Our reading today is ultimately about creative energy and growth. This reading is FULL of spring energy! In our first row we see the Seven of Wands, The Lord (The Emperor), and The Green Man (The Fool).

A

In traditional decks, the Seven of Wands illustrates a single man with one wand seemingly defending himself against six unseen foes holding six more wands. This is a card about defending yourself or taking a stand for what you believe in. What is interesting in this deck, is that the depiction of the seventh wand is the club of the the Cerne Abbas Giant, who is thought to be a depiction of an old fertility god.  The card next to this is the Lord (The Emperor) as exemplified by the Fertility God Herne, and of course the third card on the top row is the Green man, yet another symbol of fertility.

b

In the center row we see the Nine of Discs, a symbol of wealth and abundance, and the Queen of Swords. The Queen of Swords in the Sacred Circle deck is a very special card. She is the maiden of Spring. (Is there any other more appropriate cards to draw at this time of the year?) You can see the maiden is surrounded by spring flowers and sitting at her feet is the Hare, sacred animal of the Goddess Eostre, from whom we derive the word “Easter”. (There is also a Hare in the corner of the Lord Card.)

What we see in these top two rows are the two creative forces of nature, both masculine and feminine and that Seven of Wands with the keyword Rivalry is an indicator of the friction between them. There is a delicate balance in the marriage between these forces, sometimes they are in harmony and sometimes they are not…  but what ultimately comes of their relationship is that creative potential that we see in the Page of Wands.

Page-Wands

There are so many layers to this particular reading, that it is difficult to peel them all! On a grand scale we see the forces of Winter and Spring, battling at a cross roads. For those who have been awaiting that time of warmth, never fear! The Page of Swords is bringing the warmth for you!

On another level, we have the forces of the masculine and feminine, and perhaps an even more personal message for someone who is experiencing rivalry within a relationship. In traditional decks, the Green Man is the Fool. He represents new beginnings. You may have felt that you had to defend yourself, you may have needed to argue your point, and now that you have spoken your truth, you can start fresh and bring a new stability to your relationship and a renewed sense of creativity and power.

Blessings all!
