Weekend Spread October 31, 2014

Blessed Samhain, all! Today is a good day to reclaim some of the old ways. Take some time to honor your ancestors. If you are quiet for a time and listen, perhaps they will have a message for you.

We have a reading today for someone who feels they are fighting a battle.

A

In the top row we have the Seven of Wands, The Chariot, and the Six of Wands. The Seven of Wands is about defending your position and standing firm. The Chariot, is also about standing strong. It’s about asserting your will and having faith in yourself. It is about control, self-discipline, and being in a position of authority. It is also about victory and that is what we see in the Six of Wands. Also, I feel the need to point out that the Chariot is all of those things I pointed out above, but it also a card about war and battle.

The second row is our cautionary row. In this row we see the Knight of Swords and the Five of Coins. The Knight of Swords cautions you that you need to be clear and concise in your thinking. You also need to be logical and direct, but here is the warning: you need to cut through to the heart of the matter but you need to be delicate, and you need to be careful of other’s feelings in the matter. If you are cold, and arrogant you will suffer a loss as a result of being unfeeling or overly critical. This is what we see in the Five of Coins. You will be walking the “swords edge” and you need to be careful. You are well armed to defend yourself, and you want to win, but at what cost?

Hermitleg

The Hermit on the bottom is suggesting you take some time to yourself to seriously contemplate how to proceed.

I hope this is helpful.
