Greetings all! Interesting reading we have today.
In the top row we have the Knight of Cups, the Tower, and Temperance. Some moody, temperamental, petulant, generally all round difficult person is going to get a big dose of reality. The Tower and Temperance are opposing cards indicating the seriousness of this issue.
You’re moody, irritable, self-absorbed tendency towards petulant and temperamental behavior is destructive to yourself, others, and your relationships. You need to learn Temperance.
The second row indicates that there is an easy way and a hard way to learn this lesson, because you will eventually learn it, even if it is too late. The Tower is the hard way. Pushing it until everything blows apart. The Death Card, believe or not, may indicate the “easy” way, that is learning from your past mistakes and evolving into something new. The Four of Wands often indicates the breaking free of an oppressive situation. Either way, when you finally “get it”, things will be so much better! This is echoed again in the Three of Wands at the bottom. A whole new point of view, or vision.
One thing I want to point out about this reading today is the imagery and what it indicates. The Tower, the Four of Wands and the Three of Wands. They are all about “Light” and therefore a realization. The Tower is often about a sudden realization, like being struck by lightning, The Four of Wands, dark around the outsides with a sense of moving into that beautifully lit park area, moving out of the darkness into the light of understanding, and realization, and the Three of Wands, the Dawn of a new day with the ship coming in. Once an understanding is realized it opens up so many new possibilities!
Now also look at the Light of the Temperance card vs the darkness of the Death card. As I mentioned above, the Death card may indicate the finally evolving to understanding from past experiences, but it also can symbolize what may happen when you don’t come to the realization of your own destructive behavior patterns. Death is an inevitable part of life, the changes will come whether you want them to or not. Do you want the joy indicated in the Four of Wands, or will you only realize what you have missed out on when it’s too late for anything but regret? See the light in the Temperance card? Temperance is the answer.
