Greetings all and happy April fool’s day! No foolishness from me this year. No time to plan for it! LOL! Today is a reading for someone who really needs to take a vacation (yes I think that can describe most of us). In the top row we have the Six of Swords, the Nine of Swords, and the Four of Swords.
The Six of Swords is one of those cards that has several meanings depending on the situation and the cards surrounding it. It often means movement from one place to another, this can be physically, or it can be emotionally. It can mean that there has been some lingering sense of the blues or mild depression, when it’s beside the Nine of Swords however, that is intensified. The Nine of Swords is about being plagued with worries, anxieties, trouble sleeping etc. Put the two together and you have more than just the blues, you have full out depression. Now put that beside the Four of Swords and it looks like the depression is so bad you can hardly even get out of bed. Perhaps also there is illness involved, and difficult recovery.
The Second row feels completely different. Here we have the Emperor and the Sun. The Emperor (pictured here with the zodiac Aries behind him, is also associated with the sun). For many of us it has been a LOOOOONG winter. The dark blues and greys of the top row vs the warm reds and yellows of the middle row suggest that maybe some of this is depression, and illness is seasonally related. Perhaps what’s really needed is some vacation time in the sun. I pulled some more cards just to see what this Emperor was all about. I’m not going to post them all because of time constrictions but to put a long story short, you’ve been contemplating this vacation but money is an issue. Perhaps this Emperor, the boss, dad, whoever this person is who is in charge sees what is happening and will provide some funds for you to get away for a while. The Three of Cups is often a card about celebrating with friends. Perhaps somehow you will get a group together to get away, funded by a caring benefactor. Wouldn’t a paid vacation be nice? This might actually be a work retreat or conference of some kind where some of your time will have to be spent working or studying but it would give you the opportunity to leave the dull old routine behind and put you in a different frame of mind. Good luck with it! Hope you see some sunshine! Miria
