Daily Tarot January 15, 2014

Greetings everyone! Things appear to be looking up a bit today. Our readings the last while have been about struggle both on the outer and the inner. Again today we see the Seven of Wands as we did on January 9th.  This card is about self defense. The Seven of Wands tells us we need to stand our ground against opposition.

The next card is Faith, this is the card that traditionally would be the Hierophant, or the Pope in other other decks. Marchetti changed this card so that it would be more inclusive of the world’s main religions. The meaning however is the same. This card is a symbol of the established way of doing things, orthodoxy and conventional bounds. It can represent learning in established institutions, organizations, belief systems etc.  It symbolizes traditional establishments such as school, teams, organizations and even marriage. Sometimes it symbolizes mentorship in the form of a teacher, or a professional such as a doctor. There are many meanings to this card so we really need to look at the surrounding cards in order to interpret it. Today , I’m taking this card at its face value, FAITH.

The last card is the Nine of Cups. This is what is known as the “Wish card” because it is such a positive card, indicating joy and happiness and fulfillment.

Looking at this reading and the readings we’ve had over the last few days, I’m interpreting this reading quite literally as “Stand your ground, if you have faith in yourself, all will be well.”

Blessings all!

  1. Tracy says:

LOVE this — I’m taking the Faith card as mentorship, as tonight I attend my first therapeutic observation session! On my way to being there!

  2. How about, “When you’re standing your ground, have faith . . . and make yourself a mango-peach colada?
