Daily Tarot for December 3, 2013

Greetings all,

WOW! It seems there is some major **it is going  on today.

Today we start with the Lovers card. This card is often an indicator that a moral choice must be faced.

Right next to it is the Devil, or as in this deck he’s called “The Horned One” and is symbolized by the god Cernunnos.  This card most often symbolizes those things which bind us; in this case because it’s beside the Lovers Card, I get the impression it’s about obsession.

Just for some clarity, I threw down another card, which is the Ace of Swords.  This issue is one that is challenging and it’s going to take a great deal of fortitude to over come.

The last card I chose is the Ace of Pentacles. This is a card about prosperity, and groundedness, and planting something new.

With the intent of offering advice to someone who is experiencing this obsession and extreme lack of clarity, I pulled another card and as we saw yesterday, it is the Eight of Cups.

I get the feeling this is a continuation of yesterday’s reading. Nostalgia taken in the extreme becomes an unhealthy living in the past. In order to achieve the gifts of security and prosperity offered in the Ace of Pentacles, we need to choose to cut ourselves free of the obsessive behavior of living in the past.  Yes, it is a choice. The Lovers card is about choosing which course you will take, and the Devil is about being blind to that choice and even CHOOSING to be blind. The Ace of Swords says it’s time to cut through the crap and face the truth. Only then can you experience the prospect of new growth and plant the seeds of a new life that is offered in the Ace of Pentacles. You just have to say “enough already” and leave it behind you (Eight of Cups).

Hope this helps, whoever you are!

  1. Wow. That’s a heavy draw. Thinking about just going back to bed. Either that or face the Ace of Swords. Hmm. Decisions, decisions.
