Daily Tarot for September 5, 2013

4swords

So after our resolution of conflict yesterday and a bringing of balance and harmony to family and relationships, today is a good day to take a break from it all. I do love it when the Four of Swords shows up in a reading! It means it’s time to take a much needed break from the stresses of life!

In the Mythic Tarot, we see Orestes seated in a meditative cross legged position on the ground with four swords pointed away from him. It’s time to retreat from your world and it’s problems to get some perspective on life and it’s drama. The swords pointing away from him serves as a reminder that it’s “not all about you”.  Like the Toltec Wisdom of the Four Agreements, the behavior of others never really is about you. Taking time away to retreat and meditate helps us to bring ourselves into balance so that we can realize this and not take whatever happens in the world personally.

With the weekend approaching, if you aren’t actually getting away for a break, make sure to at least take a “mini vacation” , go to the pool, sit in your back yard and listen to the birds, take a walk in nature. Now is the time to rest and relax and let the world turn without you!

Blessings!

  1. We had this card on August 25th. I probably wouldn’t have remembered except it’s such a meaningful card for me. Which means I don’t mind getting it twice. It’s not about me.

LOL! Yup, we did have it back on August 25. I think my own energy is coming out way too much in these readings. Life has become EXTREMELY hectic for me lately, I think Tarot is telling me to take a break!
